Work / Engineering
A Stirling engine, from model to machine shop
A 36-part Stirling engine designed and assembled in SolidWorks, with custom machined components.
Design and assembly
Designed and assembled a 36-part Stirling engine in SolidWorks during the Mechanical Engineering Tools Lab, June–September 2024. Applied GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection for high-temperature components.
Manufacturing
Manufactured custom components through CNC machining and manual milling, including screws, gudgeon blocks, and a flywheel.
